For any not familiar with the horribly nebulous world of book publishing (don't do it!), pre-order sales really do matter. They help determine how many copies of the book the publisher will print, how much money the publisher will put into supporting the book, and if I go on book tour. To that end, feel free to pre-order multiple copies of the book or forward this email to a friend! Who do you know who loves reported nonfiction, feminism, American history, Appalachian history, or murder?

Finally, my FULL FATTIE recommendation of the month is Halo Farm, which makes 14% butterfat ice cream using local New Jersey dairy. Started by one old man in 1975, the idea of Halo Farm is simple: make high fat fresh ice cream for the lowest possible price, an idea I can get behind. With four locations in Trenton, Princeton, and Lawrence Township, I'm leaning into my Jersey side this month--three pints for $7!! They also make their own chocolate milk on site. Oh my.
