I'm also adding a bunch of these to my TBR--some for fun and some for research for my own novel. Thank you! And thank you for upsetting the status quo with book lists. I'm excited to think about my own reading next year and think on what my superlatives are.

This list = another reason to be an Emma Copley Eisenberg fan. I signed up for this substack because of the great name (Frump Feelings) and only later learned that Emma founded one of my "beacon in the storm" organizations: Blue Stoop (writing classes, events, free sessions, etc.)!
